BMW Serie 5 e Serie 6: richiami per 1.3 milioni di veicoli

BMW richiama 1 milione e 300 mila vetture in tutto il mondo per un errore di montaggio ai cavi della batteria. Di queste 63 mila si trovano in Italia. I modelli interessati sono i modelli Serie 5 (E60-E61) e Serie 6 (E63-E64) prodotte dal 2003 al 2010. A causa del difetto potrebbe funzionare male l’impianto elettrico impedendo l’accensione del motore e in certi casi – secondo il produttore remoti – c’è anche il rischio d’incendio. Finora, stando alle informazioni di Monaco non si sarebbero verificati incidenti.
Per tutti i proprietari delle vetture interessate dal guasto saranno contattati da BMW. Basterà recarsi nell’officina autorizzata più vicina con la lettera della casa per effettuare un lavoro di riparazione gratuito della durata di 30 minuti.

Previous generation BMW 5 and 6 Series models built between 2003 and 2010.In order to carry out a quality measure, the BMW AG is re-calling all BMW 5 and 6 Series models of the previous generation, built between 2003 and 2010 and still on the market for repair at authorised dealers.
In some remote cases, the battery cable cover inside the boot of these vehicles may be incorrectly mounted.
This can result in the electrical system malfunctioning, the vehicle failing to start and, in some cases, to charring or fire.
We are not aware of any accidents or injury to persons resulting from this fault.
Vehicle owners will be notified in writing. Affected vehicles will remain at the respective BMW Partner repair workshop for approximately 30 minutes, the service, of course, being free of charge to the customer.
Approximately 1.3 million vehicles worldwide are affected.
